Entertainment, dining, fine arts and sports packages and more will be offered at the 39th annual auction on Saturday, Feb. 20, at 7 p.m., at the Beverly Arts Center (BAC), 2407 W. 111th St. The BAC auxiliary board plans and presents the event, the biggest annual fundraiser for the not-for-profit regional fine arts center. Tickets are $50 and include live entertainment, hors d’oeuvres and desserts and cash bar.

The BAC’s live auction will be conducted by Keith Jones, from Sayre and Jones Auctioneers, a Chicago-based firm that specializes in charity and fundraising auctions.

  • Among the experience items going up for live auction are:
  • A private tour and brunch at the Guy C. Smith House designed by Frank Lloyd Wright.
  • Chicago Blackhawks tickets plus a jersey autographed by Jonathan Toews,
  • Golf at Beverly Country Club for four plus pool passes and dinner on the patio.
  • A sketch by Pulitzer Prizewinning Chicago Sun-Times political cartoonist Jack Higgins.
  • A private tour of the Art Institute of Chicago’s modern wing paired with lunch.
  • Chef-prepared dinner aboard a boat while sailing on Lake Michigan.
  • Dinner at Rhapsody plus two box seat tickets to the Chicago Symphony Orchestra.

The silent auction will feature 100 items to bid on, including 20 auction baskets, each of them a combination of certificates, gifts and experiences.

Live and silent auction items can be previewed on mARTini Night on Thursday, Feb. 4, at 7 p.m. at the BAC. Admission is $10, or free with the advance purchase of a ticket to the auction.

BAC Auction sponsors include O’Rourke’s Office and Solution 3 Graphics. People wishing to donate certificates for entertainment or services can call Nora at the BAC.
