
Mt. Assisi Academy inducts new Hall of Fame members

Mt. Assisi Academy’s (MAA) Gala 2010 with Hall of Fame Awards, benefiting the school’s Guardian Angel Tuition Assistance Fund and Special Operating Projects, is scheduled for Friday, Feb. 12, at Palos Country Club, 13100 Southwest Highway, in Orland Park. The evening will kick-off with cocktails at 7 p.m., followed by dinner at 8 p.m. The presentation of the 2010 MAA Hall of Fame Awards, along with a raffle and silent and live auctions will be among the evening’s highlights.
MAA 2010 Hall of Fame Class inductees include Marielena Popernik White, ’85, Woman of the Year Award; Sr. Kathleen Vugrinovich,‘ 59, SSFCR, Lifetime Achievement Award; Sr. Maria Goretti Domovic, OSF, Spirit of Mt. Assisi Award; Richard and Christine Guzior, Pro Deo et Patria Award; Patricia Wasilewski, MAA Service Award; and Anne Van Meter Shanahan, ’95, A t h - lete of the Year Award.
MAA’s Gala 2010 grand raffle prizes include an allinclusive Cabo San Lucas Vacation package, courtesy of Apple Vacations; a 32-inch flat screen television; $500 cash; Canon Power Shot A1100 digital camera and a video I-Pod.
